- Q: What version is the server?
A: The server runs on Fabric 1.20.1 Java Edition. - Q: Can I use [mod name] on the server?
A: Assuming it is a client-side mod, generally yes. It may or may not have incompatibilities with mods in the modback, so I don't recommend changing stuff around too much. - Q: Is PVP allowed?
A: Yes, sort of. Pretty much, the person you're killing has to be okay with being killed. You can also assign yourself the PVP role in the Discord Server and then you are automatically allowed to kill any other player with the PVP role at any time.
Background Info
- Q: What is YouthCraft?
A: YouthCraft is a friendly SMP server running on Java Edition. Feel free to do pretty much whatever on the server as long as you are respectful of others. - Q: Why is it called YouthCraft?
A: YouthCraft started as a server for my church's youth group, but has since expanded greatly to include many other people. - Q: What is Jimmie Jon's? Do you mean Jimmy John's?
A: No, we have no association with the sandwich shop. The server is, however, sponsored by Jimmie Jon's Church (by which I mean the church pays me for working there and then I pay for the server out of my own money). - Q: Is this a Christian Minecraft server?
A: I wouldn't say that. I am a Christian myself, but the Minecraft server does not have the capability to believe in Jesus. Additionally, my personal beliefs align more with Jesus' love as opposed to humanity's hate and judgement. We welcome everyone here :) - Q: What are "seasons"?
A: YouthCraft seasons are just each iteration of the server. They generally last a few months until everyone gets bored and we'll end up starting a new world. Season downloads are always available on Google Drive.
Trouble with lag or memory errors
- You should probably allocate more ram. The amount of ram you should allocate to minecraft is dependent on the total ram your computer has. For example, My computer has 16gb so I allocate 8gb to Minecraft. If your computer has less than 16gb, you may want to allocate less than 8gb (8192mb). If your computer doesn't have enough ram overall, the modpack may perform poorly or not at all.
You can check your ram on Windows by opening task manager and checking the performance tab.
